The Relational Coaching Circle
—a space for reflective practitioners
A free, peer-learning community for coaches who place relationship at the heart of their work.
THE FOUNDATION
What is relational coaching?
Relational coaching is a dynamic, collaborative approach that puts the quality of the relationship between coach and coachee at the centre of the work—not as a nice-to-have, but as the primary driver of change and growth.
Under the relational coaching umbrella you’ll find Gestalt coaching, Person-Centred coaching, Existential coaching, Humanistic coaching, and Dialogic/Interpersonal coaching—amongst others.
Relational coaches risk themselves by engaging fully in what is, at its best, an unpredictable and intimate process.
In relational coaching, you show up as yourself. You use your whole person as an instrument of change. The relationship between coach and client is one of genuine equality—both bring skills, knowledge, and perspective; both share their thoughts, sensations, and feelings; and both are open to being changed by one another. The process is one of collaborative creative enquiry, designed to expand the client’s awareness and restore their sense of choice.
“Creativity is an act of bravery. It states: I am willing to risk ridicule and failure so that I may experience this day with newness and freshness…” —Zinker, J., Creative Process in Gestalt Therapy, 1978, p. 3
This kind of work demands presence, congruence, creativity, courage—and what might best be described as Agapeic love: an unconditional, generous orientation towards the other that makes real encounter possible.
Authentic love … is non-manipulative, non-clinging, non-demanding … My love for the client is agapeic—more of a feeling of good will toward humanity … I seek my clients good, whether I like him or not … Agape love from the therapist engenders trust … (and) It is this “love” in all its forms which lubricates the creative process…
—Zinker, J., Creative Process in Gestalt Therapy, 1978, p. 6
WHY WE EXIST
Finding your tribe
I’d like to start a coaching revolution, and I’d love for you to be part of it!
There are plenty of coaching communities out there. But very few—if any—dedicated specifically to relational practitioners.
And yet I believe that relational coaching is not just the future of coaching—it holds the power to transform us and the world for the better.
I created this community because I couldn’t find one anywhere else—a dedicated space for coaches who work relationally, or aspire to, and who want to practise, reflect, and grow alongside peers who truly get this way of working.
Have you also been longing for such a relational space?
Have you ever been in a peer coaching session, quietly worried about being judged for showing up relationally?
Maybe you’ve been accused—however gently—of:
♥ talking too much
♥ interrupting the client
♥ sharing too much of yourself
♥ not being focused enough on goals or concrete outcomes
♥ not holding your client accountable or agreeing action items
If any of that resonates, you’re in the right place!
Relational coaching is an incredibly powerful way to work. And yet it’s not always fully understood, or fully lived. Many of us trained or interested in relational humanistic approaches can find ourselves in professional isolation—with few peers who truly get the work we’re doing, or the depth we’re committed to.
This Relational Coaching Circle community exists to change that.
It’s a place to meet each other, practice together, reflect on our work honestly, encourage and motivate one another, and support one another’s growth as relational practitioners.
No performance. No competition.
Just a safe relational learning space for professional exchange and growth.
WHAT HAPPENS IN SESSIONS
How we learn together
We meet every 6–8 weeks on a Wednesday.
Sessions run for 90 minutes and are built around peer learning and real practice—not presentations or lectures.
Sessions are kept intentionally small (maximum 20 participants) to preserve the quality of connection and conversation.
On the day, the Zoom room opens on a first-come basis. Once 20 participants have joined, the room closes.
Free of charge · Small group (max. 20) · Confidential (no recording)
Case discussions
Bring a case that’s challenging you. We explore it together—with curiosity, not judgement—and reflect on what the relational dynamics are telling us.
Open exchange
Ask your questions, share what you’ve been noticing in your practice, and connect with coaches who work the way you do.
Peer practice
Practise relational coaching in small breakout groups. A chance to coach and be coached, using a relational coaching lens, in a safe, reflective container.
Reflective practice
Time to pause, step back from the busyness of coaching work, and tend to your own development as a practitioner.
IS THIS FOR YOU?
You are welcome to join us if
♥ you have trained in a relational coaching modality—for e.g., Gestalt, Person-Centred, Existential, Humanistic, Ashridge, etc.—and want to deepen your practice in community with peers.
♥ you are a qualified coach who has not specifically trained in relational coaching but is planning to—and are looking for a community of like-minded practitioners to learn and grow alongside.
♥ you are curious about relational coaching, interested to learn more about it—and are looking for a relational community to join and learn alongside.
And, if in doubt, just reach out.
